SGO Fellows Bootcamp
Past surveys of Program Directors identified a knowledge gap, due to the educational focus of residency vs. that of fellowship, which may leave incoming fellows underprepared for advanced specialty training, particularly in terms of surgical skills, clinical responsibility and medical knowledge. The SGO Incoming Fellows Bootcamp seeks to address knowledge gaps that can potentially occur due to the natural difference in educational focus in residency vs. fellowship. Curriculum includes quizzes and recorded lectures on the following focus areas: Pelvic Anatomy, Chemotherapy and Targeted Therapeutics, Immunotherapy/Toxicities, Palliative Care, Clinical Trial Design, Radiation Oncology, and Research Fundamentals. All first-year clinical fellows are eligible and invited to participate.
