The CHW Gynecologic Cancer Training Program: Rural Communities pilot is a four-week program designed to empower CHWs working with individuals living in Rural areas across the United States with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to support gynecologic health education, patient navigation, and advocacy within their communities. Grounded in a practical approach, the training equips CHWs to actively engage patients living in Rural areas across the gynecologic cancer care continuum—from prevention and early detection to survivorship.

To ensure flexibility and accessibility, the program uses a blended learning model that combines flexible, self-paced online modules with interactive live virtual sessions led by a program facilitator, creating an engaging and immersive learning experience for CHWs.

Program Information and Dates:
Session 1: Introduction and Gynecologic Cancers with Special Considerations for Rural

• This is a self-paced online module. Participants must complete the Session 1 module before Session 2. 
• Access to Modules for Sessions 1 and 3 will begin on 08/17/2026.

Session 2: Closing the Gaps (08/28/2026)

• This is a Live Zoom Session led by expert CHW Facilitators on Friday, August 28th, from 10 AM to 12 PM CT.

Session 3: The Gynecologic Cancer Care Continuum (GCCC) 

• This is a self-paced online module. Participants must complete the Session 3 module before Session 4. 

Session 4: CHW Interventions in Gynecologic Cancer Care (09/11/2026)

• This is a Live Zoom Session led by expert CHW Facilitators on Friday, September 11th, from 10 AM to 12 PM CT.

Participants must 1) complete self-paced modules for Sessions 1 and 3; 2) attend and participate in the live Zoom Sessions 2 and 4; and 3) complete the pre- and post-program evaluation surveys in order to receive a Certificate of Completion and a $500 participant honorarium.
