Past surveys of Program Directors identified a knowledge gap due to the educational focus of residency vs. that of fellowship. Incoming fellows may be underprepared for advanced specialty training, particularly in terms of surgical skills, clinical responsibility and medical knowledge.

The curriculum addresses these gaps by including lectures on the following:

• Radiation Oncology
• Chemotherapy and Targeted Therapeutics
• Research Fundamentals
• Palliative Care
• Pelvic Anatomy
