A brief introduction to the different fellowship, career development and training grant types offered by NCI is followed by more in depth description of the K12, K08 and K99 mechanisms which are suitable for clinician scientists. In the second part of the presentation, the characteristics of a competitive application are discussed with advice on how to write one. Lastly, the places where you can find more information on NCI and NIH websites are provided.
