These courses, “Making Sense of Treatment, parts 1 and 2,” are designed to help patients, families and caregivers learning as much as they can about treatment options as they make decisions that will affect their journey moving forward. The first session explains the roles of various members of the cancer care team, and provides an introduction to treatment options, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation.

Part 2 builds on the information from part 1 and introduces other types of therapies and discusses the timeline of your treatment plan, including remission, maintenance and recurrence.  Part 2 provides a detailed explanation of targeted therapies and their role in gynecologic cancer treatment.
