An Update on Payment Reform in Cancer Care
The cost of cancer care is high and continues to rise. One tool that has been employed to curb rising cost is payment reform. In this education session, we cover the basics of payment reform and review alternative payment models that are relevant to gynecologic oncology.
We explore the Endometrial Cancer Alternative Payment model developed by the SGO, as well as defining and incorporating quality metrics. Lastly, we describe lessons learned from the Oncology Care Model. This course is relevant for all practicing oncologists and members of the care team.
